unknown 3800 stepping

i just got my new 3800+ x2 this morning, trying to figure out what the stepping is right now. i cant find any information about it anywhere though. i'll list the OPN, maybe someone can help me.

looks like it was made in mid february but a google search for "LDBFE" turns up absolutely nothing. what am i dealing with here? unfortunately i cant run any cpuid programs yet because i am still waiting for my new waterblock to arrive

i plan to try to take it at least to 4200 speeds, which i think is quite a reasonable goal. i wonder if there is anything special about this one though, since it is new? like anything i ought to know or anything that distinguishes it from others
 
Sorry if I'm bumping an old topic. I did a google search of my steppings to see what I could get out of it. Almost nothing came up.

I got the chip yesterday along with a epox 9NPNA+Ultra. My knowledge of overclocking is limited so take what I'm about to say with a grain of salt I guess.

The chip seem to like voltage, around 1.6 or higher; anything less and it wouldn't post, anything more really didn't seem to make a difference. I've had it to 2.8 on stock, but the first core wasn't stable, at 2.75 first core failed prime in 4 minutes. I didn't finish testing the second core, but it didn't fail within 8 minutes. It was always the first core that failed first, usually with a rounding error. I got it stable at 2.4ghz and prime95 tested and this is on stock air cooling. I'd like to get it to 2.6 - 2.7, but still unsure of how to increase stability.

ouch, if that thing cant make it any higher on those volts im gunna ahve to say its a dud...my LDBHE can get to about 2.6 at 1.475v in bios
but hey, its a dual core, rock on man! :D
 
HTT was droped to 3x for the 2.8ghz and the ram was at ddr266 (133) and for 2.4ghz HTT was at 4x and ram was ddr333 (166). Right now I've got it at 2.5ghz and I'm going to prime test it tonight, it's ran for about 30 minutes; HTT 4x and ddr333 bringing my ram running at 208mhz. It's kind of odd, I remember running this ram at around 230mhz around a year ago on a gigabyte motherboard but on this board I can't get it past 215, and on the AsRock I had before this it stopped at around 225.

Still it's an extra 500mhz out of the chip, even if I can't get it any higher and stable, I could only get 200mhz out of my 3700+ on the asrock board.
