I have no idea why, is anyone else having this problem? I'm using the latest drivers from nVidia ( 66.93 or something ) and my GT is @ stock speeds. I'm using the 1.1 patch also... :(

I just checked, and there is no 1.1 patch for NFSU2 yet. Maybe there's your problem.
 
Well, you'd think the official site would have a news item for the patch. I was wrong, there is a patch. Sorry for the misinformation.
 
Argh, this is so annoying. I was just about to finish a race, then BAM! Crashes to my desktop. :rolleyes: Even switched back to the 65.73's.

Don't feel bad If i even get an EA game CD to run (legit) coz of the copy protection, they usually crash on me too :)

every time i load up the game i get to where's she's telling me about the sms system or whatever and i can just start to drive, i'll go to the first checkpoint thing and then crash. hard.
 
It crashed on me all the time. right as i was getting ready to save. I fixed it some how. Dont konw what did but it dosnt do it anymore.
 
for some reason i just started playing and it works fine. played for a good 3 or so hours there. the game is really fun, a lot more than i thought it would be. i have about everything on my car that i picked, 240z i believe, can't remember. looks a lot better than it did at the start.

how long does it take to unlock new cars, i got another slot for a car in my garage but i could still only pick from the ones i could pick from at the start.
 
I get the same problem ... it crashes randomly .. it can be when I'm starting the game or in the middle of the game ... Im not sure what's goin on but it doesn't seem like EA has a clue about it .. or they're just ignoring it :mad:
 
I have the same bullshit problem. the game just drops to the desktop at random intervals even after the patch. this shit is going back EB.
 
if your overclocking ..run stock and see if it still crashes

..try relaxing memory timings and/or vidcard settings

do basic maintenance stuff on your computer as well lilke running :

Ad-aware personel
Spybot S&D
SpywareBlaster
Virus Scanner
(all updated of course)

RegscrupXP
Regcleaner

Defrag

If everything else runs fine except NFSU2 ... I dont care , do it anyways :)
 
I contacted EA and they told me to uninstall it and remove it from the registry and for a while it worked fine but the problem has returned ... nothing is o/c and my timings are relaxed ... as far as i know this is something EA should be concerned about ... but there are no updates that fix this problem .. and it doesn't seem like they care :mad:
