I updated to Servicepack 2 on Win XP Pro, im having problems with my connection.

I can stay connected to things like AIM, WOW, Ventrillo but whenever i try to access my internet through Firefox or IE Explorer the pages dont even load at all, no response except for Page Cannot be Displayed.

everytime i go Run>CMD>ipconfig /release>ipconfig /renew. my browsers pick up again but only briefly. this has happened after i installed SP2. i revered back to old drivers (on disk) to newly downloaded ones. and nothing

i got MSI Diamon Plus (nforce4 sli)
Mervell Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (onboard)

anyone got any suggestions to what it might be?
 
try a good PCI card instead and see what happens.

That controler you got there, is a peice of fucking shit. I have the same one... not in service :D
