does anyone know how to setup an email account such as hotmail,gmail or other web based emails in Mozilla Thunderbird.. or is it even possible?
 
a) what does this have to to with webmastering & programming

and

b) unless somebody's written a screen-scraper proxy for the web-based mails (which probably violates the TOS in some manner) it's not going to happen - they just don't support standard mail protocols.

webmastering involves mail servers etc..
