So playing with Horizon looking for cheap pc just to toss ubuntu on it with horizon client. Anyone see any issues using $120 mini pc? This more than enough to handle blast protocol and vid decoding? This one is also going over wifi; anyone seen something under $150 with 802.11ac?

This one (over the $100 one) because I want 4 full size usb ports:

-edit-

After doing a bit more bang for buck research, this box is looking more "worth it"

Processor is twice as fast, better graphics, 802.11ac, vesa mountable.

if you are just starting to play with it, get a Raspberry pi newer model and load that up as a thin client.

Depends what the goals are for "playing with it". Raspberry does not support SSE2 AFAIK which would mean it doesn't even meet minimum sys requirements for vmware blast. I'm sure it would still run - but might be a poor experience.

The celeron they linked I think will give a much better experience overall.
