Looks like I'll be buying one this summer now. Lol. That's awesome that they gave notice. I won't argue that they'd need to with the cost of materials skyrocketing right now.
 
I just bought one today. I didn't see it wasn't until September 1. It's only a $50 increase, though. They have a deal going for $500 to get Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 for $500 right now, so I went with that. Not interested in Mario Kart World.

yeah Mario Kart World bundle is going away if i recall away
 
Mario Kart World fell off so hard. All the people I know that hold casual tournaments and such went back to MK8 Deluxe. Which is kinda sad considering how old that game is now. MK World desperately needs some additional races and events to fill out that big ass map full of nothing.

You mean they got an open world racing game and they don't let you plot your own courses? And they don't have many of their own?

In their initial video reveals they specifically mentioned creating and joining custom race routes in the overworld, but that was apparently "a misunderstanding." They'll probably add a few new characters, an additional cup, and those features for $50 in a couple years.
 
Honestly the Switch 2 display is one of the best non-OLED screens I've seen. Probably doesn't need an OLED version.

I think you guys got a bad one or something, mine looks awesome. No bleed at all and blacks look quite black even despite not being OLED.

I mean it's miles ahead of both the original Switch and Steam Deck LCD.
 
It's 50% slower than the original Switch, which had a response time of 21ms GTG. The Switch 2 is 33ms GTG at 60 Hz.

Good grief, I didn't even know what this game was until I looked it up after seeing posts about it in this thread. Looks fun!

I have a backlog of switch and switch 2 games already though :eek: but this is now #2 on the "to buy" list whenever I see another free $10 Bestbuy gc in my email. I want yoshi and the mysterious book first. :) Then there's Star Fox and Ocarina of Time still...

The game is excellent. Splatoon is one of the first games that made gyro aiming a thing. Shooting feels so good in this game. The raids are perfect length and the game has the “just one more raid” thing going for it. Here is my friend code for anybody that wants to add me here.

Picked it up, having a great time with it though I find aiming difficult as hell (have only played in handheld mode).
 
I've been playing it, it's a lot of fun. A bit grindy but that's kind of the game. I wish there were more levels or variations of levels to replay.
