My computer hasn't arrived yet, but to prepare myself in advance, how do I go about optimizing the system to make certain that the video card is running at its maximum capacity?

After having read through this forum, about the only thing I can figure out is that I must remove any programs that are running in the system tray, and also to make certain that any antir-virus programs aren't functioning?

But how, exactly, do I do all of this?

In fact, can anybody provide me with a link towards some sort of gaming tweak-guide for dummies?
 
well first can you list the parts that you will be gettings. also all the high end cards are bottlenecked by high end processors. and why would you wan tto tweak your system when you already have a top of line hardware :confused:
 
Top of the line video cards are not bottle-necked by high-end processors.

Please explain if I am incorrect.
