System Build

11) What types/genres of games does your friend like to play? Want to play?

12) At what level of visual quality will these games get played at? Are you using AA/AF?
 
I don't think you'll find a better prebuilt system for less.

For whats in it, its a decent price. You might save yourself a hundred bucks or so doing it yourself.

Some notes:
- The 1090T isn't that much faster than the 1055T so isn't worth the extra $40 IMO.

- Despite having a SATA 6Gb/s interface, the Western Digital drive that comes with that Cyberpower PC is still based on an older and slower 1TB design. As a result, that Samsung 1TB drive above is actually significantly faster than the Western Digital

- Significantly better quality PSU and better cooling case

- Uses 4GB stick sof RAM which means that your friend can upgrade to 16GB of RAM later without issue.

That all depends on how much he wants to play tech support.. For the most part the only time I build people systems now is when I am doing it on the extreme cheap (dual core atoms & running ubuntu). Everyone else I direct them to a pre-built system since I hate playing tech support. & with the ubuntu systems I have done I get occasional how to questions, but I am not fixing shit & removing viruses constantly like I was before.

I'm in the same boat, seriously, maybe i'm being lazy, but I really just don't see the savings from building it yourself any more. Obviously you still get the ability to customize it though.

Well the alternative was Cyberpower or iBuypower. I don't think anyone here, regardless of the pain of tech support, would want to wish a Cyberpower or iBuypower build on anyone.

However, that build does give the OP a framework for judging other prebuilt gaming PCs.

Oh I see alot of savings in building myself.. But only for myself, My wife & my daughter.. Everyone not under my roof can call fucking tech support instead of me.

I generally agree, but when the people are paying me to fix their computers after they pay me to build it, I'm not complaining when they call me :D
