Hey,
I'm torn between these two systems, I'm on a tight buget but I need a decent computer (i have a old dell laptop that cant play any games). Is a Socket 754 sytem better for me, or would the extra 150 odd dollars pay off with the 939 be a speed increase and still be upgradable in a year and a half.
System A
Sempron 3400+ -$135
Asus k8v-x -$65
Mushkin DDR400 512mb -$45.90
Aopen 6600GT 128mb - $139 (if there is a better choice please tell me)
Seagate 3700.8 250gig -$108.25
Apex TU150 Black - $54 (400watt 24pin ps + Case)
Total - $547.15
System B
Athlon 64 3000+ -$147
DFI NF4 Ultra Unfinity -$99
Corsair DDR 400 1gig -$90
X800GT Powercooler -$159 (Are there 6600 SLI cards?)
Seagate 3700.8 250gig -$108.25
Apex TU150 Black - $54 (400watt 24pin ps + Case)
Total - $657.25
After writing all this I realized that System B might benifit from buying one 6600 sli card an getting another later. What should I look for?
Thanks.
