I've read through the gamespy article like 5 times and honestly, I cant think of anything more Id want to be doing right now than playing a giant FFA game with a bunch of friends, trying to take over an entire planet! And Coop single player, oh dear oh dear...this game is going to suck my life down the toilet...

I just ordered a new rig primarilly because I heard this game was coming out and thought "well, time to upgrade".

Yeah, I'm also extremely excited :) I absolutely loved the large scale of TA, and it's going to get even larger!
I just hope my current rig can handle it, cause I can't afford to upgrade any time soon :S

The main thing I'm a bit concerned about is the depth of Strategy involved in the actual combat.

From the screenies it suffers from the same thing the AOE/EE type RTS games suffers from, a "flatness" to the world instead of a more true 3d feeling enviroment.

In TA elevation, etc played a fairly decent role in combat, and i'm hoping for SC they merely haven't added it all in yet or such.

I was a huge fan of TA (greatly preferred it over SC) and cannot wait for SupCom.

Personally I'm not too worried about the strategy. From the size of the maps and what Chris Taylor has talked about it sounds like we'll be able to implement true large-scale strategies that just aren't possible in other games.

Whatever the case, it's a Chris Taylor game, so it's pretty much guaranteed to be good.
