Stuttering problem

Hello, well i've posted this on a couple of other forums and stilll can't find anybody that can help so here goes another shot. I just recently got me a logitech g35 headset and have been encountering a problem I can't seem to solve. For some strange reason my audio stutters only during gameplay. It is completely random sometimes it will stutter then stop and not come back others it stutters then stops then comes back after a few minutes.
I find it completely strange because it only happens when I play games, specifically during gameplay and cutscenes. It does this with every single game. I find it strange because the audio will not stutter in title screens while music plays or on the pause menu but as soon as I start playing it begins to stutter. Furthermore, itunes, youtube, all my media players, movies and netflix work absolutely flawlessly. This only happens during games and have absolutely no clue whats happening. I would really appreciate your help because the stuttering is driving me insane thanks.
 
What do you mean by what audio device i'm using? As for the ports im using USB and I've have tried all the different ones on my PC. It still does the same thing no matter which USB port I use.
 
Could be CPU throttling, you could turn off any downclocking features in the BIOS and try again.
 
I tried that as well and used cpu-z to make sure it didnt throttle down and still the same. Any other possibilities?
 
I mean if you have a sound card enabled, there will be more than one device in windows. If all you use is the headphones, you can disable any other devices. You can try swapping it to other USB jacks, something like your KB or Mouse might be on the same hub and cause issues (you can check in device manager what is sharing hubs).
 
Well I tried every USB port and made sure they were in different hubs and still the same. I even tried hooking them up to my laptop and running games on that and they worked perfect on the laptop so I know something I have is going wrong somewhere.
 
After more tinkering around I just decided to do another fresh install of windows 7 64-bit hoping that would fix things. It didnt change anything and its still stuttering during gaming only. I tried my laptop and my brothers PC and it worked perfect so I know its not the headphones at fault. Any other suggestions?
 
Ok hopefully this will finally get me some help. After messing around some more, I have discovered that lowering the sound quality in the sound options pretty much eliminates the problem. Going from "cd" quality to "fm" quality is fine but it still doesnt eliminate the problem completely. However, the next drop into "am" quality is horrendous but that is where the stuttering finally stops. So i guess my question now is what kind of "power" is required for me to be able to turn up the quality? It seems as if the stuttering is happening because my PC can't handle the quality or because the sound doesn't have priority.. For reference my specs are

i7 930
AMD 6970
gigabyte x58 mobo
6gb ddr3 ram
windows 7 64-bit
 
Sounds like a driver issue or IRQ issue. Do you have another sound device activated and in use? Disable all other sound devices.
 
Finally after trying to everything I think the problem was cleared up by some strange solution. After almost giving up, I decided to randomly google one last time just to see if I could find anything and after 20 something pages I found something. Some random post by somebody claimed that a reset to the CMOS fixed his problem.
I figured I had tried everything so I might as well. After clearing it, to my amazement, it actually worked. So far after running about 20 games It hasn't stuttered. I honestly have no idea why something that random would fix the problem since prior all this I had never messed with the bios or anything since I don't overclock.
