I'm pretty sure I know the answer but I wanted to check. Im making a simple form for work, and I want it so when they submit it it emails me and the managers the details (I know it can do this), and exports the info to a network directory (believe it can do this also). But, is there a way to have it be able to process a email?

Like say they submit the info, it emails the manager the manager checks it over, replies with 'ok' then it lets me know..

I'm guessing I'll have to look for another way of doing this..
 
Can you be a bit more specific? Your example told me a lot more than your actual question.

So it basically sounds like you want some a form that will allow the user to submit a file. Then the file is copied to a network drive, and an email is sent to approve the file? After the file is approved, another email is sent out.

All of this is do-able, however you're going to have to build a lot of additional functionality to it. For example, you say you want to approve the file. What are you approving? How are people seeing that the file is approved? And is there any control over the file until it IS approved? To elaborate; is the file 'locked down' from being opened / read / downloaded / copied until it's been approved?

You'll have to create DB that keeps track of all that data. Then you'll probably want to create an administration area that allows a manager to 'approve' the files THEN you'll need to create a webpage that lists approved files for users to download. etc. It can kinda get out of control sometimes!

Moving the file to the network drive probably won't be a problem either, so long as the server the form is on is setup correctly. I have pretty much no first hand experience in making that work, however I've seen it done before (former co-worker did something very similar).

Forgot to mention: no question is stupid! Unless of course... it's stupid. yep.
