i'm currently deciding between polk monitor 40 and polk rti4's right now. does anyone have any insight on comparing these two? they are quite different, as monitor 40's are usually used for fronts/mains, and rti4's are usually used for satellites, but supposedly the rti line is higher end than the monitors. however, i have heard the monitor 40's at a local circuit city, and they sounded pretty good. unfortunately, i couldn't find the rti's anywhere

the monitor 40's go deeper, but the rti's freq range is higher. i have a subwoofer so thats no prob, but i DO like the sound from my speakers to sound full.. i've also heard the infinity primus 150's and liked them as well but again, they weren't as FULL as the monitor 40's.. when i listened to the monitor 30's they really didn't compare to any of the above.

can someone shed some light?
 
Your going to use the speakers for what?

Your computer, home theater, music?

What sub do you have now?
 
if you have a bit more money, you could look into these ascend's or Axioms or if you have basic soldering skills you could build your own from parts express. Some of those speakers are as low as 150 and they will sound much better than the polk audio stuff. Hope this helps! if not try looking up some reviews on the polk audio speakers and see what would be the best for your stereo setup
 
i currently have a creative sub, a cheap one that came with 2.1 speakers many many years ago.. i'm actually giving thought to changing that as well. i know the dayton 10 is on sale at partsexpress, but i'm not crazy bout spending more money! heh..
