Sony GDM-fw900 problem

Okay so I have a Sony GDM fw900 and use it very rarely like once in 2 months or so.Now the last time I used it was maybe 1.5 month ago and it worked perfectly. Yesterday I turned it on and was presented with the problem shown in the picture below. As you can see these horizontal bars appear on dots/artifacts that are different colors from the rest and if I move objects of different colors around the bars will folow. It makes me believe its not a tube problem itself but something in the signal processing route (neck-board) maybe a failing IC,transistor or bad capacitors


I heard that when these monitors arent used regulary they can develop bad capacitors, which would deff. be able to cause problems like this besides waked out geometry

Have you checked the video cable/graphic card VGA output ? The issue may be something else than the monitor.
