Software you cannot live without?

Going between my personal laptop, and my work computer i have found several peices of software that i jsut cannot live without.

Here is my list:

Office 2k3 (better than any other version)
Spybot search & destroy
Ad-aware
MS Bootvis
Adobe Acrobat Pro
Adobe Photoshop
Mozilla Firefox
Trillian
Bit tornado
Nero
Rainlendar


Those are what i have on my lappy. I hate coming in to use my work comptuer because they have openoffice, winxp pro (same as my lappy) and i have to use outlook express. They have some cheap ripoff for making pdf's (oh no wait they have adobe acrobate pro version 4) and they have mcafee ( i hate McAfee with a passion!).

What programs can you not live without??
 
The latest version of Open Office can make pdf files. Try using that instead.

ahha i love Bonzi Buddy... i had it installed on my old work pc for a while before they replaced it! He was so funny when you made him swear!

MMJB - I'm still using 7.5
Irfanview
Opera
Acrobat Reader (or Adobe Reader now IIRC?)

I have no need for all these Ad-aware type programs most people seem to use, but I do always put NAV on along with updates.

I know what you mean. After I used Linux exclusively for a long time, I went back to Windows XP and in the cmd prompt, I kept typing in stuff like ls, grep, and scp. Yeah, didn't work that well, so I went out and found Unixutils, which is a port of handy *nix programs for Windows.

There's just something great about grepping, bzipping, and lessing from cmd.

How come you still use 7.5? And can I get that somewhere?

I bought the lifetime upgrade option when they offered that when MMJB was still fairly new.
 
TBH, 7.5 does everything I need. Later versions seem to have features for d/l'ing music from their store, but I have no use for that. Now that I take a look at the page, it seems they've added a couple features I *might* use, like Export to spreadsheet and the Duplicate track finder. Also, I don't think I've got the lifetime free upgrade, although I think it would even be worth paying another $20 for.
