I have all the parts (except a motherboard) to put together a new system, based around a socket 939 CPU.... But I can't find a socket 939 board anywhere in the world! It is for work so I can't really do e-bay (just don't want to go thru the expense report stuff)...

At newegg.com, they have the: K8N-LR

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131160

which says:

CPU Socket Type 939
CPU Type AMD Opteron

The CPU I have is not an Opteron that I know of. Any idea what I have to go thru to make sure it will work before placing an order to newegg??? Or does any 939 work in that board and the CPU Type is just something they "put down?"

it will work but that board seems a little iffy by reading the reviews.

Oh... Thanks, never even looked at the reviews... You are right, they don't look good... The only other brand newegg has right now is Tyan... Some of the reviews on them don't look too good either, sigh....

I have a 939 abit at8 32x crossfire board for sale, if you're interested, pm me.
