Just ordered an Asus P7P55D EVO (1156 - 4 slots, 2 channels) motherboard and saw in the manual that they recommend using a module in single channel (example: one in 1 and one in 2) to get XMP to work better. Sounds like they are smoking crack to me but I haven't built a PC since 2005 so I figure I'd ask here. Did a quick search and did not turn up any titles. Thanks for your patience.
