Alright, so heres the story. I have a Verizon USB thing for internet in my work van. It works good enough on my work laptop but i cannot access any settings on my work laptop to enable Ad-hoc so i can get internet on my Iphone. Does anyone know of any sort of router that would be able to take the Verizon USB internet and turn it into a wifi hotspot?

Well, you can go half and half, which is what I've done in the past with great success.

Configure Internet Connection Sharing on your Verizon network adapter and have it use your local LAN port for the LAN. Then you can either take an access point or a router (disable DHCP) and plug your laptop into one of the LAN ports.

Basically you will be doing the NAT/Internet Connection Sharing on your laptop but all of the wireless clients will be connecting to your little LAN through the Accesspoint/router. All the router/access point will be doing is acting like a bridge that multiple clients can connect to and can then access the internet via your laptop.

If your laptop is running Windows 7 and has a wireless adapter, you can use Connectify to essentially turn your laptop into a wireless access point.
