Most of you are familiar with my Server 2008r2/Hyper-V/Vail project.
I've noticed something that I'd like to try and improve, and that's Network performance.
The network throughput I'm getting copying files to either Server 2008r2 or Vail (also based on Server 2008r2) is about half what I was getting when transferring files to and from WHS1, which was based on Server 2003.
Are there any adjustments I can make to Server 2008r2 to improve this?
I was able to pull 60-80 MB/Sec over the gigabit network with the original WHS1 installation, but I'm only seeing about 30MB/Sec max since moving to 2008r2.
QoS? Bandwidth throttling/load balancing? I don't really need that kind of stuff enabled on my small home network.
Thanks
