"Save for web" colour issue

Hey guys,

I've just taken my first step into the world of RAW when I did a couple's session this afternoon. The pictures turned out great, and I'm loving what I can do with the .cr2 images (Canon 5D).

I am having an issue with colours when I "save for web" in photoshop cs2. My workflow is this: open .cr2 in photoshop, adjust WB, Saturation, Exposure, Contrast etc > click open > do some minor adjustments in ps cs2 > save for web.

Please check this screenshot out to see what the problem is: the colours look completely different!

Any hints or tips?

Thanks!

Matt.

The "save for web" option in Photoshop converts the image to a web safe 256 color pallet.

luckily, Adobe fixed this issue in CS4, and you can now convert to sRGB pallet with "save for web" option. works like a charm every time

You have to use save as to maintain the aRGB colour profile embedded in your picture. Save for web discards this automaticaly
