Ok I have what would be my ultimate low-budget Raid 5 SAS Array, I have 3 36Gig 15KRPM Hitatchi drives. After almost a year of searching and scouring I was able to secure a M-9000 Tyan SAS Taro Card complimented by a nice Adaptec ZCR Card with 400mhz Processor and 256mb of RAM. Now when I go to hook up the drives just to try I never even took the hard drives out of their bags and on the back is a 29-Pin socket :( after searching I have found a place to actually buy these cables (Not just the manufacturer of them) but what I really want is a drive enclosure. The only thing I can find that's compatible with 3.5in drives and SAS is this: http://www.adaptec.com/en-US/products/sas/storage/SAS-335/ by Adaptec, but will this thing work with my drives?

The Supermicro case is another option. I think the Adaptec you linked would work, but I've used the SATA version of the Supermicro one and it works quite nicely.

The Taro has 4 sata-type connectors on it, correct? The Supermicro comes with a 4 sata -> sas cable; the Adaptec comes with both a 4->1 and a sas->sas. The Supermicro takes sata-type data connections, so you'd need sata cables to connect it unless the Taro has a 4x connector on it.

In short, I think the Adaptec enclosure will work.
