Where on earth do I train seals for rune magic? I'm in chapter 4 and I need to break the magical barriers, but my seal skill is 0.

I've talked to Ignatius, Vitus, Cyrus, Illumar and none of them offer me the option of training seals. I read on the steam forums that there's a book in the library, but I can't find it.

Also, where do I go to train in swords? Edgar has taken me up to lvl 5 but only offers crossbows now.

Not quite sure on the magic question, but there are ......at least 2 different hidden sections in the monastery. One of them can be accessed in the little library party where Kato asked you to find a book for him. I found a couple books, one in particular said to bring it to a mage to have them figure it out..so might be what you need. I didn't go the magic route because by the time I found out I could do it I had already screwed it up heh.

And the sword question...in the bandit camp Fincher could train up to max swords. Im not sure if he refuses to train non-bandit faction people or not. I would assume there's a guy in Harbor or Monastery that would train otherwise....can't remember if your map is real specific on what people train when you click the trainers tab.

The magic barriers shouldn't really pose a problem for you though, because they offer enough scrolls to break all the blue barriers in the game (5 is all I ever found at least)....and you get the scrolls for free.

I'd play the game over to do magic, but Im guessing there would be a ton of overlapping quests and that last chapter of the game just irritated me because they won't let you use the titan armor pieces such as the shield/helmet/weapon without the armor. So if you do them in the wrong order you can't use anything from them uber items until you're finished collecting them.

Decent game, just the combat system got really tedious when you'd get some NPC who was like the uber blocker and he'd block everything you threw while his buddies hacked your sides.

Pretty sure you *have* to choose to be a mage in order to get skill levels in Rune Seal.

Take the seal and copy it to parchment. I understand that you are Warrior of the ORder, so, for your tests you propably mastered scroll creation. Ingredients re easy to get, just go to writing table, have the ingredients in your inventory, choose 5 of those scrolls (you don't need more) and presto

You need to get the dispell magic barrier scrolls. I believe there is a guy that can give you some at Volcano Keep if I remember correctly (may be wrong).

There are different colors of barrier, red and blue, and you need the right scroll for the corresponding barrier.
