Does this picture look about right? I don't have anything running as far as I know, except for SuperKaramba which according to top says that it's only using appx 2.7%, which I imagine isn't that horrible considering that the main problem is that I only have like 15 mb of free memory.

I'm going to be picking up another 512mb soon to put me up to a gig (for Unreal2k4 and Farcry) but this is kind of ridiculous.

I believe the kernel reserves memory for it's use, so although it appears that you are using all of your memory, it's not necessarily all being used.
Of course I could be completely wrong on this one,
 
Linux likes to allocate a lot of memory to disk cache, which'll get freed up as soon as a running program wants some memory.

Of course, without seeing any details, it's hard to tell if something's wrong or not. Try running top & sort processes by memory usage (press 'M" when it starts) and share taht info with us.
