1. Not enough room behind the motherboard to route all my cables. I knew this going in and knew it was going to be a challenge and it sure did prove to be one. The cables on my Corsair HX850 were not happy fitting in there.

Corsairs flat cables really make routing behind the mobo tray a PITA. I'm MUCH happier with seasonic's round cables.

. my PSU's cables were not quite long enough to get to my SSD and BD-RW drives. They are pretty long cables on the Corsair PSUs so I was surprised that I would have trouble here. I used 1x Molex cable and 1x SATA Power cable as well as my 4 GPU 6 pin connectors and ended up having to route the molex cable through the main part of my case.

Would you be able to reach everything just fine if you added another cable? I don't remember not being able to reach anything with the HX850's cables in the FT02. I did dedicate one cable to the furthest component though. Once again, this is another area where my seasonic X-750 bested the HX850.

Just completed my transfer from a HAF-X to my FT02S-W.

Couple of downsides from switching have been...

1. Not enough room behind the motherboard to route all my cables. I knew this going in and knew it was going to be a challenge and it sure did prove to be one. The cables on my Corsair HX850 were not happy fitting in there.

NZXT makes some nice PSU extension cables. I found mine on Amazon.

I didn't have any problems with my Corsair AX750 and my RV02. I would have thought it would be easier on the FT02.

Hi there...I have a question tours my almost done Gaming Rig FT02

The front to me looks to plain missing somethin'...I was thinking of buying some accessories like :

1- Fan Controller ---> For the 3 180mm---> I changed the original ones for Blue LEDs
2- Multi Card Reader
3- Front 4 USB Connector---> I dont like the fact you have to connect USB @ top of case for my Headset & my iPhone...

Thanx for ya help on this & yes has to match the front of case!

Check out the Lamptron fc6 or fc5 fan controllers in black. It did a lot to improve the looks of my FT02 IMO.

All the other stuff you want to put will just make it look too ugly and busy.

I'm going to have to disagree with you here. I feel the brushed aluminum faceplate of the FC-5 made the fan controller stand out in a non-conformal way compared to the textured matte look of the unibody. My DVD-RW drive blended better with the case than the FC-5 IMO.

You might as well say the same thing about the stock brushed aluminum drive bay covers. The fan controller matched the brushed aluminum drive covers well enough, IMO. It's probably because I don't have a dvd drive in there and the only thing I have in the drive bays is the fan controller.

I've seen Omerta's FT02 with the FC-5 in person and it looks awesome. In fact, it looked much better than the Zalman fan controller I used to use (got rid of it because you don't really need it in the FT02 and I hated all the extra wires).

You're right. I do feel the same way about the drive bay covers. Not my cup of tea.

^^^I don't think he has the FT02 pc anymore . . . I think he went to the dark side???

I still have it lol. I'm just having a hard time switching fully. Once I switch to the Mac Pro completely, I'm going to be in a walled-garden, and it scares me lol. Once I do, would you like my ft02? :p

Thanks!

This is my first desktop in 10 years! Always lugging around with laptops. Tired that they always don't deliver the power I want. Now saving for a NuForce Icon HDP to complete it.

The more I see this case the more I want it, the wife is gonna kill me for sure. I tried to slip a U3011 past her and she noticed and agro'd. It would be a shame to hide this under my desk to....

It's hard to justify buying another case. I told the wife the coolermaster cosmos 1000 would be the last case I want. This was 2 years ago. Main thing keeping me from buying this right now is the price. I can't justify it, yet. :D

cases to me are like shoes to women. how many pairs of expensive shoes does your wife have??????

Maaaan listen!....I work hard for my money aint no one tellin' me how to spend it when all the bills are paid & the kids fed!...l0l.....And true to that a Wife would easily spend $300 - $1000 on a freakin' Coach Purse!

$300-$1000 and a Coach purse . . . you're lucky. Your wife obviously isn't Asian like mine.

Anyone have a Velociraptor installed in this case?
If so how is the case for keeping the noise down?

I just installed my main rig (in sig) into a antec 300 from a 180B and didn't expect the amount of noise this little 300GB drive can make.

I take my wife to the Coach Outlet store once a year when they're having a "donate a $ to breast cancer awareness & take an additional 25% off" sale.
The first year, she was paranoid to go in & freaked out when she saw the prices. Then she realized everything was half-off. Then she saw the clearance section with the additional discounts. Then she heard about the "donate a buck" thing. The rest was history. Oh well...she was happy. And when momma's happy, everyone's happy!

I probably know more about women's purses than 5-10 women combined (long story). Anyone paying $1000 for a Coach purse should have their head checked because that's Gucci/Ferragamo/Prada/etc territory. It's like paying Lian Li/Mountain Mod prices for an Antec/NZXT case; the latter being nice stuff, but not at high-end prices. Plus, a lot of the markup on new Coach purses is due to their fall/spring/regional/etc lines whereas that mentality isn't nearly so prevalent with computer cases. You can buy 4-6 month old Coach purses at their many outlet stores for ~30-70% off, but you'd have to get really lucky to see a similar drop with pc cases (although it does occasionally happen). And don't even get me started on women's shoes.

So next time your wife/girlfriend complains about expensive cases or (perhaps) the bi-annual vid card purchase, let her know it's a helluva lot better value than her rapidly devaluing Coach/Juicy/D&B. Just don't try the same thing with her Miu Miu or (gasp) Bottega Veneta or you she might hurt you... badly.

Your wife obviously isn't Asian like mine.

Oh dude... tell me about it. I'm just lucky my g/f is a somewhat "practical" asian gal. I'd freak if she was like her sister who needs the latest style on a seasonal refresh.

LOL, wow. It's totally the truth though.

Ok, I need some help/suggestions.
I'm currently using a slightly modified V1000BW (top 120mm blowhole).
As you can see in my rig details, i'm running a slightly overclocked Phenom II X4 being cooled by an H50. My temps under load in a 23c room is ~54c & my slightly overclocked 5830 reaches 91c under load.
I'm torn between the Silverstone FT02 & the Lian Li V1020.
Those of you using a H50 in your rig, how do you have it mounted? Bottom intake, top intake? Anyone with a setup similar to mine? If so, what kind of temps are you getting?
Could anyone post pics of their rig with a H50 mounted in it?
Thanks.

Put it at the top and make it exhaust.
