I travel a lot. So I though I would purchase a VPS, upload all my movies and I would be able to stream them to my iPad remotely. Well, this isn't the case....Some times I can stream, sometimes I cannot.

So I want to setup an actual stream server on my VPS.

It is a linux VPS with no GUI.

Any recomendations?

I have installed it successfully.

I cant connect to it though.

I am not understanding why I need to forward and tunnel ports?????:confused::confused:

The server has it's own static IP and it not behind any routers. Why cant I just connect:confused::confused:

Ok. I seem to have figured it out.

Now, I goto the web manager and it just gets stuck on the Plex logo in the center of the screen....No dashboard loads. No links to click either. I searched Google and cannot find a solution to this problem.
 
Ok...Working on this all day and I finally got it.

Now, TV out does now work from the iPhone.....What a waste of time and money.

Also, if you don't have access to router configurations, you cannot use Plex outside of the home.
