Ratpadz problem

Well when i first got my ratpadz i loved it. If i tilted my pad just a little bit, the mouse would fly off the edge. After about 4 months it lost its smooth finish. I added mouse slicks that i had saved because when i first got the pad it was so amazing. When i move the mouse to the side i don't really use its smooth as silk, just like when i bought it.

So my question is, is there some kind of solution i can buy to bring back that smooth finish?

Thanks in advance.

did you ever wash your mousepad ?

i have something similar to a ratpadz and the middle of it usually gets dirty and i have to clean it. I'm a gamer so i need my smooth surface.

maybe someone else can help answer you too.

well i never washed it untill it lost its smooth surface. So i thought that could be the problem, so i used water only, the paper towel didint look dirty after, but it did not help.

anyone? I thought more people would know about this......I mean [H] sells these things.

going to bed bump. Maybe someone will be able to help me tomorrow morning.

Ratzpad's arent smooth, they have lots and lots of little bumps, and the bumps wear down after time, just happens, buy a new one

go to your local autozone, then buy one of them silicone spray. spray it on your ratpadz then wipe off the excess.

If you don't own one, and by that statement I know you don't, how bout you NOT post useless information. The bumps are to inprove the accuracy, but I can tell there must have been some kind of finish added, because the side i dont use is still very slippery, the mouse just glides over it, where as the side i normaly use is noticably different.

I'll check that out at autozone, thanks for the info!

The man speaks the truth. Ratpadz GS wears down too easily.

If you want the best surface available, clean your Ratpadz off really well, then go to www.cshyde.com and buy the C4 mouse surface, and use it to cover the Ratpadz. While you're at it, don't forget to get mouse feet. Bam. There you go. You just got the best surface out there.

Pledge works. Spray pledge on it, wipe off excess, wait for it to dry.
You can knock it slightly from one end of the pad, and the mouse slides off the opposite edge (even with a heavy mouse like the mx700)

ratspad is like the worst pad ever. it is true that they are not smooth. the lil bumps make it so there is not as much friction and make the mouse glide better. (less mouse hitting the pad less friction)
i sold my ratspad after about 2 months because the mid section would not glide as good as the rest of the pad. shortly after i got a DKT pad and i have never looked back, love this pad. i would say if you want the same feel as what you had you would most likely have to buy a new pad.
ratspad was one of the best pads i had for the 1st month but after that it just sucked. as soon as i was starting to get use to the hard surface it wore out.
