I recently got 2 Patriot Warp 32GB SSDs to use in RAID 0. My motherboard is an Asus M3N78-EM and I could not get these drives to work at all with the built-in raid so I decided to buy a RAID controller. I went with this and the results are alot worse than I expected.



I know it's not an SATA II controller but I would've expected alot better performance than this. Is it possible I don't have it set up correctly or is this just a bad controller? Can anybody recommend a good SATA II controller with 4 ports for under $100?
 
what mobo do you have? you are running PCI so you wont get over 133MB
also your pic is so bad i cant read anything on it.
also how are those patriot warp drives, run one at a time and see the speeds on them, as i recall almost all cheaper SSD, like OCZ suck really.

I have an Asus M3N78-EM. I tested a single drive directly connected to the motherboard and it worked quite well. I just couldn't get XP to detect the raid chipset on the motherboard even after integrating the drivers into my XP cd. So would a PCI-express card provide the most bandwidth? I would actually just like to use RAID 0 with my 2 drives on the motherboard, but I tried about everything I could and XP would not see my raid array. If anyone with this mobo has setup RAID with Windows XP I'd love to know how you did it, instead of having to buy another RAID controller.
