I need a minimum of 4 hard drives to setup for a raid 5 right? Can I add a 5th hard drive or more in the future to the same raid setup? or Do I need to reconfigure the raid setup when adding new hard drives?
 
Minimum number of drives for RAID 5 is three. Some systems support expansion, some do not. RTM.
 
I am using my onboard intel raid controller. I have an Asus P5Q. I checked the manual and it did not state if I can expand or not. Do you know if that motherboard can?
