what is better for gaming 23.6" or 24.6"... i dont want some random resolution..... please quickly answer
 
That being said get whichever monitor you like better or is the better deal.
 
1680x1050 and 1920x1080 are the de-facto standards these days.

A 23-24 inch display will be 1920x1080. (usually)
