Any demo on quake 4 yet? I might buy it but I gotta test it out you know? Im definately gettin CoD2. Anyone know when to expect a demo?
 
I seriously doubt you'll see a demo before the game is released.
 
play quake 3 with the brightness on your monitor turned all the way down and you have quake 4.

heh nah, I bet it will be like Doom 3 with no demo until after release.
 
yeah me too dude, the games comes out in what? 2 weeks? also i don't think it really needs a demo :D it'll be fun to play

I am not going to buy it without a demo first. Not cause I think the game is going to suck, but instead that my aging 9700-Pro will not be able to play it well and I want to test it first.
 
Is this going to be more action intensive like hl2 or is it going to be horro things jumping out at you intensive like D3?
 
its going to be like quake2, where you are on planet strogg, fighting the strogg, and doing nothing but killing strogg

btw, is there going to be a new mastermind? i hope they come out with some awsome creature models, like they had in quake2

they still better have the meat ball effect in, i was not impressed with the frag rate all in doom3

Now well enough for multiplayer unless I turned down the graphics. Single player was ok, but in multi-player I want more than 40fps.

you never played quake 2 did ya? itll be the same as quake 2 all out action...to me only certain parts of HL2 were all out action...but the game was fun :)

No, I haven't. Good HL2 really kept my attention. One of the few games that did. I hope this does also.
 
If Quake 4 is gonna be at all like Quake 2, then the gameplay is not gonna be like Half Life...

Quake 2 was a basic first person shooter.However, I still enjoyed Quake 2's single player a great deal back in the day..even if it was simple. The action was intense and fun.

I think Quake 4 will be very cool if it keeps a sort of old school FPS feel to it while at the same time throwing in some different things here and there.

Yeah, thet pissed me off in D3 as well. There was a mod out that was supposed to stop the bodies from just disappearing but it never worked.

We need GIBs dammit!!!
 
watching the gameplay vid on the updated site, shows one strogg getting gibbed. I think you just have to do enough damage after the fact, other wise they just lye over and turn into green wisps and float away.
 
Well, F.E.A.R. and Quake4 are at least two of the games I get if I don't get any other games this fall/winter.

WTF is with iD and the "disintigrating and floating away" routine? It's f'n gay.
