On my mobo, I ended up just bneding the hell out of the plastic that made up the pushpins until they came out. Not ideal I'm sure but it worked.
with the mobo out take a pair of needle nose pliers and carefully push them out from the bottom
with the mobo in the case just pull on the pins with pliers, rocking them from side to side until it comes out,
i would suggest the first method because there is less chance of causing damage , also they are usually very hard to get out from the top,

Question: How do I clean the thermal goop off of the NB chipset? I have some isopropyl alcohol 91% in my medicine cabinet, would that work and how would I use it?
And when I put the thermal goop on, should I use the grease supplied with the Zalman heatsink or some of my Arctic Silver?
So, on this, do I just put the goop on the black part and spread it out, or put a little dot in the middle and just let it spread when i put the heatsink on or what?
Sorry, first time build and I have no friends around to ask.

Isopropyl works well, 91% is good also. I have used as low as 70% with no problems. I use Q-tips dipped in Iso and rub it off, I go through about 10-15 Q-tips. I use the first one to just lay some Iso on the goop and then the next ones are for removing it.
Use your Arctic Silver.
Use the BB-sized method and let it spread by pressure when installing the NB cooler.
