program game controller with keyboard keys?

Is there any way to program a game controller (i.e. my logitech wingman rumblepad) with keystrokes? Like program the d-pad with the left, right, up, down arrows?

Any program or hack that does this?

edit: nvm, I figured it out by using logitech's wingman profiler
