Over the last few weeks I've been having a problem with my laptop. After windows has finished loading and brings up the desktop, the taskbar freezes. I can still do anything that doesn't require the bar/start button (like start programs that are on my desktop), but any clicks on the bar etc don't go through until 1-2 minutes later. I've tried disabling all startup items with msconfig and it doesn't appear to make any difference. I've tried halting and restarting explorer.exe with task manager, but the behavior only occurs during a fresh start - re-starting explorer later on doesn't exhibit the 1-2 minute delay.
I'm wracking my brain trying to figure out what could be wrong. I don't want to start disabling services at random, and I don't want to reinstall XP at the moment. Can anyone help? I can provide further details on the machine if it'll help a diagnosis.
Ninja edit: I'm running SP2, if that's relevant.
