I am trying to achieve a 20x30x20 PLP setup with 2 dell 2007fp and a 3007wfp-hc.
I have an nvdia gtx 670 video card which has 2 DVI outputs and an HMDI and displayport out.

The 2 DVI outputs go to one of the 2007s and the 3007. For my third monitor I am using HDMI to the monitor and then using a HDMI -> DVI adapter to plug into the last monitor. When I try to run 1200x1600 the monitor will say the signal is out of range - it will only go as high as 864x1152 which totally defeats the purpose here.

How are you guys doing PLP? Do I need a second video card? Should I get a displayport cable and try that instead? I was really hoping to use only one video card for this setup. :(

OP delivers?

Since making this thread I've been still trying to find someone who is in a similar predicament but found nothing. I hate being stuck in limbo like this. I think using a passive HDMI to DVI adapter will not get the res I'm looking for.

Happily this video card also has a DisplayPort. I have purchased an active DisplayPort to DVI adapter (and a longer DVI cable since my computer will be very far away from this third monitor) to get the 1200x1600 resolution on the second 2007fp.

I will post the results when it comes in the mail.

edit: It worked. PLP is glorious even if I am 5 years too late.
