PATA problems with D865PERL

I upgraded the bios in my motherboard to P21, and all of a sudden my drives are acting weird.
If I set "ATA/IDE Cpnfiguration for "Enhanced" mode in the bios, the cd burner on my Secondary master channel is detected, but the two hard drives in my Primary channel aren't.
If I set it to "Legacy" and select "PATA Pri and Sec", the two hd's are detected, but not the burner. If I boot to windows, it detects the cd drive after boot.

I downgraded to P19, but that didn't help. I checked all the drive cables and everything, and all the drives work, just not all at the same time.

Any ideas?
 
I can't help you there, but one of my 865PERL boards is funked up too
 
Well, I should have done the easiest thing first. After switching out cables, and trying different combinations of drives, I reset the bios to defaults (even though I hadn't changed anything from default), and it worked. Strange.
 
everytime I have problems with this system, I pull the battery off the mobo, and things work great, ecept the clock, no biggie
