According to Beyond 3d, nvidia is introducing a non-sli version of the nforce 650i, and it seems it will be quite cheap with mobos retailing under $90.

AFAIK the only difference with thw 650i SLI is that it has 1 X16 pci-e slot versus 2 x8 pci-e SLI. It seem that we will finally have a P965 killer.

I was saving for an Asus P5N-E SLI, but since I don't need SLI this might be a better option.

If the price point comes in around $90, it's a good deal. I don't think the FSB on the 650i gets quite as high as the P965 does, but still respectable. You can basically get a 6400 instead of a 6300 with a cheaper board that still OC's well and end up at about the same speed.

Does the 650i do linked/unlinked memory? I don't remember myself, but if it did unlinked like the 680i, that would be a real selling point for me.

650i SLI certainly does unlinked so I would think that Ultra probably would too.

I might go with an Nvidia board if it is $90 then. Even the $110 MSI SLI board seems like a decent deal.
