P8P67 LE doesn't post when power removed first time.

When restoring power the first boot will not post, red light stays illuminated. Must turn power off with power button then turn back on where it posts no problem and runs stable.

Is there a bios update for this board that fixes this?
 
update: only happens when i've manually selected 1600mhz for the DDR speed (it is 1600mhz ram but board detects it as 1333)

sounds like a bios problem?
 
Did you update to 1053 or 1253 bios? Also, try clearing the CMOS and/or Bios > APM > pcie enable > load Windows > restart > disable pcie trick.
