P4 HT question

Im running a dell inspiron 9100 with a 3.07ghz P4 with hyperthreading.

If I only see one CPU under my task manager performance tab, am i actually using both processors? I seem to remember using other P4 HT systems where I would see two CPU sections - one for each processor - and i certainly know thats how my dually rig was set up.

I am using windows XP pro. Just reinstalled this evening.

The reason i bring this up is even after a fresh install, my CPU gets spiked just from turning on iTunes, which seems absolutely ridiculous to me. Any advice?
Thanks

it turns out i did have that option set to disabled, but even after enabling it im only seeing one processor in windows.

I didn't play much with HT, but yeah - you should have 2 cpus in the task manager.. now, I'm not sure if you need to have it enabled before installing the OS to make it work (you know, just like with ACPI support - if you had it disabled during OS installtion, enabling it after, won't do anything - you're pretty much have to reinstall the OS again..)
