I have an old system which is running a P4 2.8 (Northwood I believe) and some PC 3200 RAM. The motherboard went out on it and I'm trying to find a replacement board that will work with my existing parts. The problem is that I'm not having much luck. It seems like the motherboards I find are for later generation processors than mine (which is understandable since this CPU is 6 years old). Question is: Does anyone know where to find a motherboard that will work with my P4 2.8?

Thanks,
Mike

At this point, if I didn't use it as an excuse to upgrade ;) , I would try to find a former top-of-the-line used motherboard off of eBay (as much as I hate to support them) or some other used parts store. If you insist on a new one, the choices will be very limited, for instance this VIA-chipset micro-ATX motherboard at Motherboard Pro, and even then, you'll need to get some DDR2 to go along with it (which is dirt cheap now anyway) and a cheap PCI-E graphics card. That is, if it even works with your CPU (which is not obvious one way or the other).
