Overclocking... memory 1:1

I'm just moving over to the Intel side of things after a 10+ year absence. I have the e5200 on a UD3R (in my sig) overclocked to ~3.5GHZ using several different combinations like 10.5x333, 12.5x280, etc. I have tried changing the FSB strap (think that's the official Intel term) to 266 and 333 with variations of the available multipliers in there (like 2.0, 2.4, 3.2 etc) to get my ram near 800 or slightly higher. The problem is CPU-Z/CPUID reports the memory as 5:6, 2:3 or something else besides 1:1.

Is it that big a deal with an Intel setup to have 1:1?

Does having 5:6, 2:3 or similar put more stress on the Northbridge since the memory is capable of running faster than the CPU FSB?

I know I can get much more out of this chip since I'm @1.25v on the stock cooler. Once I get it on the H2O setup, I'll be more willing to throw extra volts at the motherboard to get closer to 4ghz (or higher!! :) )

Thanks for any help

p.s. I put this in the Intel Motherboard section since I'm trying to get BIOS setting information for my Gigabyte UD3R... mods, move to memory section if more appropriate. :D
