depends on the ram you have
first, i would drop the memory divider down real far, preferable 1:2, and slowly increase the fsb with clockgen while running prime95 torture test (preferably small fft's) while keeping an eye on temp
if temps go over 55-60ºc, stop, that's enough
if you get an error, and the cpu is still relatively cool, bump the voltage up a notch in ther bios, and resume increasing the fsb with clockgen.
repeat above until you either hit 1.75v or 55-60ºc under load
then, bring the ram back to 1:1, and do the same, but increase the fsb in the bios and boot into memtest. play with voltage and timings on the ram until your hit your max ram clock.
hopefully, the max memclock will bring your cpu to it's limit.
if not, you're memory limited

come to think of it.. i've never heard of a company called syntax that makes motherboards.

I was thinking the same thing intel lol i got it. And no it has a floppy controller. No that does help. And i did look in there and i got lost about five times but it did help a little.
If Syntax is to ECS what ASRock is to Asus... good luck, cause you are going to need it.
Your best bet would probably be to pick up another mobo... 'cause I doubt you will get above a 266FSB on that... yeah, I really don't envy your task there!

If i need a new mobo to OC i'm not going to i like my mobo has not let me down yet.
I hear where you are coming from, my friend... my ECS K7S5A Pro has been going strong and stable for three years... and I can't OC at all without a third-party BIOS flash, and I am just not willing to risk that on it yet. Maybe when I get some of my projects done, but not until then.
