Origin automatically adding games, how to prevent it?

Today I loaded up Origin to play BF3, and I noticed that Need for Speed 2010 was added to my Origin account. I did not buy NFS from Origin, and I did not want it added/tied to my Origin account. I've had it on my PC for a few weeks, though it was only added to the account today.

I am wondering if there is anyway to prevent Origin from doing this in the future? And will Origin automatically add all of your EA games to Origin? The only games I want linked to my Origin account are games that I specifically add myself.

Why would you care? Origin seems to auto register any EA game it can verify you legitimately own.

It might add them, but you won't have to use Origin for it. If you lose the game disc you CAN use origin to DOWNLOAD them though. Seems a win-win situation.

The last EA game I bought was Knights of the Republic. While making my account, I had to agree to some terms about EA possibly combining all of my EA Accounts into one.

I'm cool with that, since I have a couple from various EA acquisitions...

I assume this means if Origin automatically adds your games you will be unable to sell them as they are tied to your account? Not a problem for me in this particular case, but for all I know there might be some EA games I plan on selling in the future and I would not be happy if Origin unwillingly tied them to my account preventing me from selling them. Which is why I am asking if there is a way to disable Origin from doing this. If I knowingly buy a game that is tied to Origin/Steam (BF3, IL-2 CloD ect.) that is fine, but often times I buy games believing I can sell them after I am done with them.

Strangely, Origin has not detected many of my other EA games such as BFBC2/Vietnam and Crysis Wars.

On a dickish note. Steam lets you break your games up into categories and you can hide them. I'll admit I have a few games hidden under a catergory labeled "fuck this game" it's for games I know I'll never play, but its specifically because I have a few hundred steam games and this shits getting too cluttered to find stuff. I can't say the same for my origin account.

Origin has done the same for me with Mass Effect 1 and 2, both games bought from Direct2Drive. The games are also registered and linked to my EA/Ubisoft/Origin/SWTOR user name and account since they're in the same "environment."

I honestly don't really care since I didn't like the Comrade software much at all. I preferred Steam's software though, with Origin second, and Comrade (and now Gamefly) last. That's if Gamefly is much improved.

My only guess is to de-register the game or unlink it from your Origin/EA account if that is at all possible.

The problem I have is that I have Mass Effect 1 and 2 registered and linked to my Bioware (correction: not Ubisoft above) account. The same goes for Dragon Age 1 and 2. Command and Conquer is registered some time ago through... hmm, good question. I think that was through EA's website or Command and Conquer's official website.

Sim City and Sims were through EA's Sims/Sim City official websites.

It's a whole friggin' mess. I can see in some way why Origin is going to fix all this. The Bioware account I have above is used for the DLCs I use for both Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

If you were able to de-register or unlink the game, I would surmise you have to think back as to where you registered the game originally and go from there. Maybe the Need For Speed official website if it still exists.

Now I can see why I love Steam Client over this mess. All the games and DLCs registered and linked to a single account, regardless of developer/publisher without the mess of registering different accounts for different official game websites.
