1 750GB Seagate
1 500GB Maxtor.
1 36.7GB Rapor
Here's a little background and what I've done to troubleshoot the issue.
The other night I rebooted my computer and after posting windows 7 no longer boots. I get the "No boot disk found" error. I then put in a windows 7 DVD and it get's as far as to choose which partition to load. However every drive I try I get the same "Setup couldn't create a new system partition or couldn't find an existing.."
I then went on to unplug each HD individually and plug them into each sata port 1 by 1 get the same error with every combanation.I have no other usb drives plugged in or anything else that windows may think it needs to boot from. I've also tried changing the boot order in the bios having the windows 7 drive as the first.
I then remembered I had an old 36.7GB HD in there not plugged in with windows 7 on it. Unplugged both other drives and plugged the raptor in. Windows boots up and it's like nother happened. Then plug in 1 of the other 2 drives and get the "No Boot Disk Found" This happens if I plug all 3 drives in or even if I have 2 drives plugged in. The only drive that works is the raptor.
Is it possible that both drives just happen to have died and the raptor was spared because it wasn't connected. Also if I do a "browse" in the windows setup I do see what is on the drives I just can't seem to get windows loaded on them
