This is on a fresh install of the liek 7th time.

Anyway im using a p4 2.8 IC7-G with 2 sata drives and a ide on the sata adaptor.
Have a DVD write on ide 1 and cdrom and cd writer on ide2

Ive tried repairing install, reformating and reinstalling. Everysingle time I get the same thing.

I can only boot with the XP cd in the drive.

I have also tried replacing the file with one from a friend.

Does anyone have any suggestion how to proceed so that I can take my XP CD out of the drive.

sorry did i forget to emntio i have tried that and also fixboot?

ill retry another time to see if i sorted osme other thign to fix it with that now though

OK I loaded upo the recovery consolse, hit fixmbr and it changed with the it was a fooked setupo, rebooted and I still have the original error.

Any other ideas?


EDIT:-- Ok I did it again and unplugged the 2 other drives and it worked this tiem :D:D
