Noob ram voltage question

I recently purchased a pair of Corsair XMS 3200C2PT 2x1GB Kit. However my board is reading them as 3-3-4-8 2T. I want to run them at their intended speed of 2-3-3-6 1T.

I was wondering when changing the voltage for the memory, would I need to change the voltage on the CPU as well? From what I've read on several sites 2.65v or 2.7v was a stable setting for most users.
