F2380 for $200? Where??
Cheapest I've found after a couple minutes of searching was $300 at J&R.
Are people still getting 2209WA's for $200? (I'm honestly not sure.)

Haven't checked the rest lately.

Yes, the 2209WA can still be purchased for $212+tax. Details are in the other thread.

Everywhere I looked the EA231WMI cost $330-$350. Please share where you found it for $300.

Apple Cinema Display 24" & 30" are IPS.

NEC 2490WUXi has been discontinued for some time and is no longer available.

Pretty much yea... Some 26-28" ones are TN's though..

But wow, I didn't even know about that NEC 23"... sounds like close to an ideal eyefinity monitor (atleast for me)...

IPS... high resolution... cheap (for a 1080p IPS)... super adjustable stand, and 3yr warranty... oh and displayport natively... :D

Found it for $310 shipped... http://www.buy.com/prod/nec-display...nitor-23-1920-x-1080/q/loc/101/211579088.html

Bing cashback is 4-7% with buy.com so you get a little back... which should bring it under $300 ($288-$297)

It's a great monitor. Keep in mind that the bezel is a bit on the large side - a little less than an inch I'd say. It's still the best you're going to get in that price range.

It doesn't look that thick, but honestly I don't really mind... I was planning on overlapping them in eyefinity to give the illusion of a slimmer bezel.

I'm gonna go with 1 for now and try it out, if I really like it I'll eventually pickup a 5 series card and 2 more of them. But I think I'll wait for prices to drop on the 5 series and hopefully those monitors. My GTX260 216 is fine for 1080p games right now.

Soyo DYLM24D6 with build dates of October 2008 or earlier are 24" 1920x1200 P-MVA panels with 6ms response time. Later and you could get a TN panel. They have been discontinued for a while and Soyo went under, but you may be able to find and pick one up for $200-250.

True, I had a couple of them... the bezels were gigantic though and stands were cheap... no bueno for eyefinity... and lack of warranty.

But when they worked the panels were quite nice.

Yea no... with the panel lottery, no warranty and still priced over $200 it's not worth it.

If they were $100 I'd consider it :p

Too bad it's only got a 6ms response time because they used heavy RTC and that causes input lag. Don't even bother with PVA/MVA for gaming. It's TN or IPS, or preferably CRT.

I owned one -- it really wasn't that bad. If you're very sensitive to input lag it might be an issue, but it's a surprisingly good panel for the price. I can certainly tell the difference between the Soyo and my current Planar, but then again the PX2611w has pretty much the lowest input lag of any IPS panel, period.

I'm pretty sure the "lowest input lag" award goes to the NEC. 8ms lag as tested by tftcentral.

The PX2611w tests at 12ms or less. Nearest I could find was "less than one frame". The NEC might be a little faster, but they are both extremely fast. I doubt anyone would complain about input lag with either.
