XP rig. have no idea what is going on. I get this error trying to boot today. All was fine last night. Am I just fucked and lost all of my data?:confused:

check the BIOS, check your HD cables.
be on the lookout for unusual noise coming from the HD

Checked the cables, all is fine. It shows up in bios. No weird noises at all. :(

Yeah, that is what I plan on doing in the am. Shit....I hope to fuck it is ok..my wife will freak fkn out if all of our pics are lost. They are on a sep partition, hope to hell I can get to them.

Do you have a non-boot CD or DVD in your optical drive and have your optical drive in the boot priority list ahead of your hard drive?
