Wave Race
Golden Eye
Perfect Dark
Super Smash Brothers
Killer Instinct
Bomberman 64
Blits 2000

Super Smash Brothers and Mario Kart 64, those were (ARE) the BEST multiplayer games out threre for the 64, i still have both of them. Although the Zelda 64 was the best single player game i ever played on it! :D

SSB and Goldeneye. Both are (IMO) the best 4 player console games....ever.

Solitaire 64
Super Mario Shopping Spree
Bass Skinner 64
..and my personal favorite
WarioLand Craps :Snake Eyes Edition

I haven't seen Body Harvest and Excitebike 64 mentioned. I had a thing for Excitebike 64... I suppose it's not "great" compared to the rest though.

But Body Harvest is. Ohh, man, was that a good game.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Zelda: Majora's Mask <- Needs the memory Upgrade
Mario 64
Golden Eye
Mario Kart

Majoras Mask was terrible...

It just has a completely different type of story line than your typical Zelda. If you just played it a little than the game seemed rather bad. But once you get into it, the game was great.

You're just mad because you couldn't find get all of the masks. :p

I can't believe nobody mentioned Pilot Wings! My little brother and I were over at EB Games the other day and we spotted a used copy and grabbed it. That game rocks!

Can't wait till Pilotwings revolution. There are rumblings that it may be a launch title - would certainly fit perfect with the controller :D

And Majora's mask was awesome. "different is good" and in the case of that game... boy did I ever enjoy the dark storyline. It wasn't QUITE as good as Ocarina, but still right up there, IMO.

Duke nukem 64
Duke nukem Zero-hour
Donkey kong 64
007 goldeneye

Not true. Majora's Mask was put together just as well, if not better, than Ocarina of Time. The game did take a little bit of time to get into, but once you did . . . man, I love(d) that game. Played through it three or four times. Takes quite a bit longer than OoT, but MM is definitely worth a look . . .

. . . and another look . . .

. . . and another look . . .

. . . but I'm a Zelda junkie as it is :p .

As for other games for the 64 (that haven't been mentioned):
* Jet Force Gemini (single player, but good times)
* San Franciso Rush 2 (yeeees)
* Beetle Adventure Racing (alright, the game's not that great . . . but beetle battle's fun)
* Conker's Bad Fur Day (maybe that was mentioned . . .)
* Rogue Squandron (definitely worthwhile -- awesome game)

Sorry to OP, but this may help you as well. Anyone know a good place to pick up old N64 games? Gamespot and them want like $20 bucks a pop. Maybe if anyone is selling some for a good price pm me?

Man, I remember playing that damn stunt course in Rush 2 for hours at a time.

Haha this is great, only on a Nintendo system (or maybe a sega) can people dig up these great memories. ( I think the n64 was one of the best 1 console multiplayer systems ever.) All listed. great games :D

Makes me want to dig mine out and put it next to the cube.

A couple that I didn't see mentioned are Blast Corps and Tetrisphere. If you're not into puzzle games then forget Tetrisphere, but Blast Corps was one of Rare's best games.

About Majora's Mask... since a lot of people are defending it... what was up with that 3 day time limit? Do you eventually find a way to stop that? I couldn't stand my game being reset every 3 in-game days...

Hmmm . . . x2 I also feel like playing Blitz, and Mario Kart!

But yeah , exactly as said above : Goldeneye, Mario Kart, NFL Blitz, and Perfect Dark are all great multiplayer games. After that I would check out both Zelda games and Mario 64 for single player fun. Happy gaming.

I usually pick up mine at ebgames for around 4-10 used. If you have a store opening up near you, check it out, because they usually have buy 2 get 1 free.

OMG I forgot Rogue Squadron... I think I played that more than anything else on N64, definately pick that up.

Chollman, you obviously didn't play much of Majora's mask to judge it. lol
Of course the "3-day limit" is worked around. In a very strange way. Check out gamefaq's or faqs.ign.com - there are full guides there.

Oh man... Blast Corps was fuckin awesome, and Conker was hysterical. Diddy Kong racing was insanely hard to beat, too. Rogue Squadron... man, a lot of my youth went to that one. The memories. I can't wait till they make some of these hits downloadable on the Rev.

Nintendo also said something along the lines of allowing online play for a few of their older titles. I hope it's not just the party-game type full-screeners (i.e. Mario Parties and Donky Kongas) - they should find a way to make Goldeneye go online.
