Newegg problems

Recently purchased an ABS computer from newegg as part of thanksgiving special this last friday. It sounded like a good deal. Came with amd 64, corsair ram, cooler master heatsink and fan, ect. The pc was suppose to come with a free 17 inch lcd flatpanel, speakers, keyboard, and mouse, and ABS windows restore cd. Guess what! I did not receive the 17 inch lcd flatpanel, speakers, keyboard, and mouse, and ABS windows restore cd. I sent an email to newegg since it was already to late to call them. I will be calling tomorrow. Hopefully I can get this worked out otherwise I will send it back and go with my original plan of constructing my own pc. The only reason this c was a good deal was becasue of the free stuff with it.
Sorry if my little rant offended anyone, THis is my first order from newegg so it kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth....

check again tomorrow then call newegg
 
thought aobut that but according to the ups website everything was delivered. Hopefully it was separate!
 
How many packages did the tracking results for your order show? Was it fedex or ups?
 
look at the fedex/ups label on the box you got... if it came as two shipments it should say 1 of 2(or 2 of 2), but then again you should have got two separate tracking # if it were 2 shipments
 
well the label says 1 of 1 so I guess I am calling newegg for some answers. I hope I am not on hold all day!
 
Well, that's a good thing. I don't believe ABS bundles their LCD box inside the system box like Dell, so you have some proof that you couldn't have received an LCD panel in that you only received one box...
 
Wow that was fast. I was only on hold for maybe 3 minutes total time. Well they are contacting ABS for me to figure out where my stuff is. I just hope that it doesnt take 5 years for me to get my stuff. I was looking forward to having a second lcd for desktopy here........ :(

Dell must only do that for review systems. I've never received a Dell with the LCD in the system box.

Just bought an XPS 400 that shipped that way with a 19" LCD. We don't accept prebuilt review systems. ;)
 
i hate UPS... why is newegg doing this?? they shouldve stayed w/ FedEx... :(

and UPS always delivers at the worst times here. hopefully there was just a small issue instead of somebody 'misplacing' your new LCD...
 
Well I guess we will see. I will keep you people updated. On a good note though I am impressed with cs at newegg so far. Hopefully they keep it up.
 
one thing about newegg is that they will definitely take care of you if your order has problems. You should be in good hands, but most likely, the other items are going to be shipped seperately, and maybe one of the items are delayed...keep us posted

Newegg added UPS as an option, not as the only shipping method. You can still use FedEx if you prefer.

im fully aware that UPS is an 'option' but on the last couple of purchases i made at NewEgg, FedEx either wasnt an option (for like one of the packages) or it wasnt the one w/ cheaper shipping.

ive had worse experiences w/ UPS. this was one of the better times, but they still piss me off. i still love my FedEx :eek: :p
 
i ordered a case from newegg and ups tracking showed it as being delivered so i called ups first, they were unhelpful . they told me that i had to contact the sender and have them put a trace on the package. Newegg asked me if i had a signature release on file with ups where they could leave packages on my door step without obtaining a signature, i told them i did not they assured me the matter would be resolved quickly and about a week or so later i recieved my case. the whole incident was ups fault,Newegg if nothing else has pretty good customer service

Hmm, I've never had FedEx not be an option. And FedEx is never the cheapest, thats probably why Newegg added a UPS option, so people could have a cheaper option.

I don't see the down side.

well newegg used to have free fedex shipping on approx 80% of their inventory. now gettin free shippin is a rarity. but fedex still delivers w/in 3 days, a day before est arrival, and every package has always come in perfect condition.

whereas w/ UPS they pulled a stupid on my last delivery (it was small, but annoying nevertheless) and the only boxes ive ever come in that were in very sub-par condition came from UPS. the second to last package that came in had both of my fans broken and the bottom corner completely blown.

aight, sorry for making this a FedEx v. UPS thread... ill stop hijacking now... sorry... :eek: :(

The down side is UPS sucks. Hardly ever on time for deliveries here and they have a tendency to lose shit a lot more than FedEx. Express Saver with FedEx means you get your stuff on time or earlier. 3-Day Select from UPS needs to be renamed to 3-Days If You're Lucky. I live in Colorado and I've received packages from New York via UPS before shit that ships from California days earlier, which makes absolutely no sense.

Could be worse, they could use DHL. I swear they only hire stoners or retards to deliver packages.

FedEx = Quality
UPS is brown. sooo uhh... can you relate it to something? yeah, i think we can each agree.
 
Its weird, I get better treatment from UPS then I do from fedex.

I have late packages from fedex, they've lost them, damaged them, and just flat out not came with my package for 1-3 days when its due to be delievered.

UPS has only ever delivered 1 damaged package and insurance quickly delt with it.

I really think it is just where you live on the shipping companies.

Easy there I work for DHL and i'm not a stoner or retarted. I'm a professional driver w/25 years experience and subject to federal,state and local regulations reguarding drug testing and licencing. Now with the "patroit act" I am fingerprinted and ran through a national database.
So i'm sorry you had a bad experience but don't lump us all as you put it "stoners and retards"

My apoliges to the op for the hijack also. Newegg used to offer FedEx saver as their standard shipping option. That's been replaced by UPS. I'm not happy with it also but UPS gave them a sweeter rate. I see it all the time with companys switching carriers.

I have spent around 6 or 7 grand there in the last 5 years. There CS has always delivered for me. Returns and exchanges are never a problem.

Keep on them if you must, I think they will figure it out to your satisfaction.
