Alright, heres the issue. Just got a new mobo / proc combo and tossed em in my machine. Booted up just great into safe mode, and i went and uninstalled the IDE drivers, rebooted and tried to let it boot into windows to no avail. I get to the load screen and i get a crash. However i can get back into safe mode just fine, and when i do it reinstalls the IDE drivers. Im going from an nForce2 chipset to nForce3, which is why im quite boggeled by this whole thing. I understand that they are 2 different chipsets, however i figured i could still boot into windows. I can really format, so thats not an option. Also from safe mode i tried to manually install the ide drivers on the mobo driver cd. And it says it cant find any new drivers on the CD or anywhere. Anyone got any other ideas for me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :D

after the read of the other thread - would it not just be easier to format/reinstall?
far less headache.
Why do you not want to format?
NOTE: 1024th POST - [H]ard|Gawd status.... Rawk!
